Buffalo’s Blu-ray Player for India this May

Posted on April 10, 2008. Filed under: Hardware |

Buffalo Inc, a provider for wireless networking, storage and memory solutions, has announced the launch of MediaStation Blu-ray HD DVD (BRHC-6316U2), the company’s first external Blu-ray HD DVD player.

MediaStation allows users to read, write, and play Blu-ray content. The device can also connect the player to a notebook or other mobile device via USB to enable its usage when on-the-go.

Buffalo’s Blu-ray HD DVD player comes with Nero’s proven software for playback and burning, which allows for seamless integration with all recent versions of Microsoft Windows.

Indian consumers would love to implement either High-Definition or Blu-ray content into their digital lives – from TV sets, to camcorders, to audio content. A Blu-ray HD DVD player would play a perfect role to get them going. However, the majority of the stingy Indian consumer would feel the pinch when it comes to coughing up over 40k for a device like this.

Buffalo’s MediaStation Blu-ray HD DVD (BRHC-6316U2) is priced at an estimated street price of a whopping Rs. 45,000. The player will come with a limited one-year warranty and toll-free technical support. Rich Indian consumers will be to purchase this product from the local stores in May this year.
